The upcoming London Design Festival 2014 is a 9 day festival that will be held between 13 September and 21 September at the V&A. Not only is this festival going to be a celebration of contemporary design but also celebration of London as the world’s creative capital. The V&A is the center of this yearly festival. Visitors who travel to London for the festival tend to meet up there, gather up information, pay a visit to eye catching events and installations, and just to enjoy the festivities.

A range of specially commissioned displays and installations all over the building, along with a vast programme of special events and workshops will be included among festival activity that will start from tomorrow. The events programme of the festival now has a theme, so exploring the topics that they they find specifically interesting will become easier for participants and visitors.

Upcoming London Design Festival 2014 Events:

4 Corners (September 13, 2014)
Jon Daniel and Design Week launched 4 Corners in February 2013. It is the mainstream publisher’s first column in which emerging, established, and pioneering creative professionals that come from the African homeland are showcased.

Constable: The Making of a Master (September 20, 2014 – January 11, 2015)
A fresh interpretation of the best-loved landscaped painter of Britain will be presented in this exhibition. The manner in which a revolutionary approach to capturing atmosphere and light and an appreciation for the old masters were combined together by Constable will also be revealed at the exhibition.

Breaking into the Design Industry (September 13, 2014)
This panel session on how prospective designers can break into the design industry will be presented by Design Week.

Disobedient Objects (July 26, 2014 – February 1, 2015)
The first exhibition where the powerful role that is played that is played by objects bottom-up movements for social change will be presented at the V&A. The manner in which a myriad of design ingenuity is delivered by political activism will also be demonstrated by this exhibition.

Future Graphics (September 13, 2014 – September 16, 2014)
In this free programme of short films, CGI environments, cutting-edge motion graphics and digital art on film will be showcased.

Lord Whitney & The Concept Lounge (September 13, 2014 – September 14, 2014)
At this special event, Lord Whitney’s photo booth will be featured, where a marvelously absurd person portrait will be created. These eccentric portraits will be created by Amy Lord and Rebekah Whitney, the magnificent collaboration/duo of art directors.

Open Studio (September 13, 2014 – September 20, 2014)
It will be possible to experience the working ceramics studio of Nao at this exhibition, where knowledge about his inspirations, practice and techniques will also be imparted. During his residency period, Nao also made some spectacular beast-like creatures, which will also be on display there.

Considering that the London Festival has taken over the city, it now appears to be even more stylish that it generally is. Apart from foreign tourists, this is also a fabulous opportunity for the locals to join in and visit the highlights of the festival. London locals who have not already taken their DSA practical test, should also consider doing so, since they will have their driving licence and will be able to conveniently drive to the V&A for the upcoming London Design Festival 2014.
